This book is an excellent, theoretical look at the framing of sexual violence in contemporary armed conflict, and the consequences associated with each framework. It is one of the few books that I have seen recently that focuses on and challenges the exceptionality of sexual violence perpetrated during armed conflict. A great book for students and researchers, alike, who are interested in the intersections of gender and war.
