It would be impossible to top the first Ride to the Wall, which was all Raiders. This one features guest artists performing with the current lineup (as of 2005: Omar Martinez, Danny Krause, Doug Heath, Ron Foos, and Darrin Medley. Carl Driggs also contributed to the recording before he left the band in early 2004. Omar is really the star on this cd - he does a lot of the singing, some solo and some with guests. He does a great version of the Billy Ray Cyrus song "Some Gave All", and teams up with Sam Moore on a remake of the Edwin Starr hit "War". Omar also does a great version of the Jefferson Airplane classic "Somebody to Love". Of the guest artists, Gary Puckett impressed me the most with his original song "Those Beautiful Eyes". This cd also has the final recording by the Righteous Brothers, "Let's Work Together". The Raiders display their amazing versatility in backing this cast of guest performers. There may be a better group of musicians out there, but I haven't heard them. And great, informative liner notes by Paul Revere himself.
